As the PXI platform continues to dominate new ATE system build, MAC Panel continues to develop new and innovative connectivity solutions specifically for PXI.

The SCOUT family of products is the only solution that has been purposefully  designed to maximize the performance potential of the PXI instrument platform.  SCOUT’s approach is unique in that it utilizes a method of interconnect that reduces or completely eliminates wiring between ATE and a Device Under Test (DUT).  This is achieved in two ways:   enclosed direct connectors called Direct Access Kits (DAKs) and reduced wire interchangeable test adapters (ITAs).

All PXI instruments are easily installed or removed through the front of the receiver, without disturbing the system wiring. DAKs utilize standard MAC Panel Series connector modules, providing a wide variety of contact types, with signal, power, coax, RF and hybrid combinations available. The connection between the PXI instrument and receiver module is accomplished using either printed circuit boards or flex circuits, providing optimum connectivity performance while reducing wiring cost. Where a wired solution is preferred, the DAK adapter provides for a short wire alternative to traditional hinged mass interconnect receiver design.


 

Our small I/O connector family, APEX, is designed to provide optimum performance in small I/O test and measurement applications. APEX connector modules are unmatched for strength, stability and performance when compared to the typical molded plastic alternatives. APEX is available in a variety of configurations, offering HD signal, coax and power options.

At the heart of the APEX performance is MAC Panel’s unique 1mm signal contact. With a 1mm cross section it offers superior electrical performance over the traditional standard 0.6mm contacts and is significantly stronger; in fact, more than 350% stronger, making it far less susceptible to damage in real world applications.
